Auditions

"America's Best Dance Crew" features dance crews from all over the United States and in the first season, these dance crews auditioned in four cities: New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles. A total of twelve dance crews were chosen from the four cities and were then broken up into four regions: East Coast, Midwest, South, and West Coast.

Week 1: Crew's Choice Challenge

Aired on February 7, 2008

Each crew danced to a song to their choosing. The crews were broken up into groups of three, and the best crew from each group (chosen by the judges) would be safe from this week's elimination and would move onto the next week. The bolded crews were saved by the judges.

Week 4: Movie Character Challenge

Aired on February 28, 2008

Each crew has to perform a storyline as a character in a movie, while performing on the set of a street. Week 7: Evolution of Hip Hop Challenge

Each crew must perform to a master mix of the same songs using moves from the history of hip hop.
