- Jaloudi
Jaludi (also "Jaloudi" (جالودي), "El-Jaludi," and "Al-Jawalda") is a
Bedouin tribe/clan from theArabian Peninsula . The name "Jaloudi" is rooted in several places, i.e., the West Bank in "Jalud " (جالود) a district ofNablus not to be confused with "Ayn Jalut" (عين جالوت), the Abbasids inBaghdad (i.e., Capt. Issa Jaludi under Haroon ar-Rashid's rule), and the "Jaludi" identity/name was also adopted by a group of nomads from Al-Harb (Clan of War) near Abyar 'Ali inSaudi Arabia . Jaludis live in large numbers in the cities ofAmman ,Mahhis , andEl-Sult of Jordan, the West Bank of Palestine ("Jalud") near Jineen city [Faqqua'a] , the United States, Syria, Yemen, and a minority reside in Saudi Arabia (descendants of "Al Harb"), Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. The history of the tribe/clan predates partitions and mandates created by the League of Nations.
