- Bob Masse
Canadian Bob Masse has been creating concert posters since the 60s.
During his time at art school, he started designing posters for various acts that came to his home in
Vancouver .Soon, Bob started doing posters for bands such as
The Grateful Dead ,Steve Miller andThe Doors . He became a large influence in thepsychedlic art scene. His posters from this time are very valuable collectors items now.The influence of the
art nouveau movement is evident in his work. However, his own distinct flavour is evident with his typography, colour and boldness to give it the Bob Masse 'look'. Today, Bob still creates art for artists such as, Tori Amos, the Smashing Pumpkins, Neil Young, amongst others. In 2008, Amplified Clothing and Bob Masse have teamed up to release a range of t-shirts featuring some of his original art work. His figurative designs feature women that are sensual, erotic, and dreamy and probably spent their Friday nights hanging out with Lautrec and his crowd knocking back Absinth down at the Moulin Rouge.External links
