CoKinetic Systems Corporation develops rich internet application (RIA) software designed to deliver interfaces that can connect and interact with multiple sources.

CoKinetic began developing RIA software in 1999. Spun out of Deutsche Bank in 2001, the company was founded by a group of senior IT executives who sought to develop software that behaved both like installed and web-based software, with a level of stability to accommodate real-time trading [Reuters Significant Developments, "KPMG Consulting, Inc. and CoKinetic Systems Corp. Launch .NET Web Application for Deutsche Bank", 8 March 2002 ] . The resulting technology has been deployed in calendar, time-tracking and in-flight entertainment (IFE) applications.

CoKinetic’s technology is comprised of a thin-client player that generates GUIs using various types of markup language, including the company's proprietary I3ML mark-up language. The technology also features an engine that integrates services from multiple sources.

CoKinetic’s AirPlay software currently powers in-flight entertainment for several airlines, including Virgin America's RED IFE system [ [http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/16/business/businessspecial3/16tech.html/ Diversions for the Jet Set - New York Times ] ] . The 3.0 release of CoKinetic AirPlay was released in the summer 2008.

On September 12, 2008 Panasonic Avionics and CoKinetic Systems announced that they would collaborate on building the first airline B2B marketplace. The marketplace will be called AirPlay Marketplace and will be base on the CoKinetic in-flight Interactive system - Airplay. Airplay Marketplace will be available to advertisers, retailers, credit card and service providers. The marketplace will premier in early 2009.
