Hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) is an important intermediate used in the chemical industry for manufacturing fluorine containing products. It is the fluorinated analog of propylene oxide, and the epoxide derivative of hexafluoropropylene. HFPO is manufactured by DuPont and 3M, and used in the industrial production of many fluoropolymers and in commercial products such as Krytox lubricants.
