ScanTek is an innovative, ICT-based series of teaching and learning resources that have been specifically designed to enhance the delivery of post-14 courses in engineering and technology.
ScanTek modular curriculum is used in middle school or high school. It was first introduced in England and was later imported to the United States. It is similar in idea as Project Lead the Way that it provides a curriculum for the teacher to use. It is a purchased curriculum made by outside source and sold to school districts to supliment or replace their Technology Education program

Criticism
The ScanTek curriculum is under criticism by some teachers who beleive it does not meet standards or needs of students with special needs. Some teachers feel that it takes too much away from the role of the teacher in the classroom and affects classroom management.
