Document Freedom Day (DFD) is a day designed to "raise awareness about document freedom"[1] "on the last Wednesday of March".[2] Document Freedom Day was first celebrated on March 26, 2008, and is organised and funded by the Free Software Foundation Europe.[3]

According to Ars Technica, more than "200 groups in 60 countries" are actively involved in DFD.[4]

  • forming a global network
  • coordination of activities that happen on last Wednesday of March, Document Freedom Day[5]
  • In 2009 Document Freedom Day was on March 25.[6]
  • In 2010 Document Freedom Day was on March 30.[7]
