Janet Wolfe, female entrepreneur and scientist, founded the privately owned Wolfe Laboratories, Inc. (WLI), a contract research organization based in Watertown, Massachusetts. Wolfe runs her development and formulation operations from a large convert|21000|sqft|m2|sing=on facility located near the Longwood Medical and Academic Area.

Wolfe received her Ph.D. from University of Kansas in pharmaceutical chemistry and held a post doctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Wolfe also served as an assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Tennessee before relocating to Boston, MA to form WLI.
