Murphy Nicholas Xavier Pakiam (born 6 December 1938) has been the Roman Catholic archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia since 2003.
Pakiam was ordained a priest in 1964 and was consecrated as a bishop in 1995. On 24 May 2003, he succeeded Anthony Soter Fernandez as the archbishop of Kuala Lumpur. Since February 2007 Pakiam has been the president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
