Datasektionen

Datasektionen ("the section of computer engineering") is a section of the Students Association of Engineering ("Teknologkåren" [http://www.tkl.ltu.se/] ) at Luleå University of Technology. It was founded in 1984.

Datasektionen is responsible for the academic programmes of

* MSc in computer engineering
* BSc in computer engineering
* Preparatory programme in computer science and engineering for women
* MSc in electrical engineering
* MSc in media engineering
* MSc in engineering physics
* MSc in space engineering
* Arena lifestyle, health and technology
* Arena teaching
* Arena music, media and technology
* Arena space

Their foremost mission is assuring the educational quality, as well as fostering good relationsships both between students and between students and non-students. The board consists of ten students who work for free, elected in May each year.
