Shariyaan

Shariyaan was a family who served the Moghuls from the time of Akbar the Great. Muhammad Shariyaan was Akbar the Great's server himself, who died after the birth of his and his wife's fourth child. Only one of the four children lived, named Toqeer Shariyaan.

He himself served the Emperor Jahangir. His children, two males named Umar Shariyaan and Tariq Shariyaan, served the Emperor Shah Jahaan, who later married Tariq's daughter Bashtur after the death of her husband in the war with the Deccans.

Bashtur Begum was a maid, so after the death of Shah Jahan, her children were never given the right to claim the throne. Her daughter, Aisha Shariyaan married a Moghul noble named Ebrahim Azam.

The last known family member from the Shariyaan family is Akbar (named after Akbar the Great), who was the son of Aisha and Ebrahim.
