Albone Glacier

Albone Glacier (coord|64|13|S|59|42|W|type:glacier_region:AQ|display=inline,title) is a deeply entrenched narrow glacier on the east side of Wolseley Buttress flowing southward from Detroit Plateau, Graham Land. Mapped by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) from surveys (1960-61). Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Dan Albone, English designer of the Ivel tractor, the first successful tractor with an internal combustion engine.
