CIET

The Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (CIET) was established in 2001 by the Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust (KKET), Coimbatore. "Light The Light Within" is the motto of the educational trust. This Institute exclusively offers under-graduate programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE),Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).

Located in the campus of over 26.5 acres at Narasipuram, about 25 km from Coimbatore city, the institute has a very picturesque and serene atmosphere surrounded by green hillocks. Ample facilities are also provided within the campus for extra curricular activities and for personality development.

The aim of CIET is to provide value-based education to its students and to develop the overall personality of the students by enhancing their creativity, self-confidence, assertiveness, communication and leadership skills. The trust is to bring out HUMANE and astute technocrats and professionals who will be a disciplined positive force in all walks of life. Programmes are planned with the specific objective of imparting up-to-date knowledge, improving the skills and developing a better and positive attitude in students. The scope extends well beyond aiming at academic excellence and is directed towards making better citizens of tomorrow.

The CIET has an exquisite team of highly qualified, eminent and dedicated faculty with vast experience from reputed Institutions. The college has organized, two AICTE-ISTE sponsored STTP programmes for faculty during the last two years. The college has laid emphasis on Guest lectures. Educational tours and continuous interaction with industries right from its inception. In addition to its conventional academic teaching, attention is paid to modern techniques in class room lectures, seminars, conferences, assignments, case analysis, practical classes, paper presentation, workshop practice,projects and departmental association activities.

The programmes offered by the college are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

Language Laboratory

The institution has established a software-based language lab to enhance the language proficiency level of its techno-professionals. The aim of this lab is to improve the four basic Language skills of students namely Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Indeed, the lab comprises language programmes designed by Cambridge University Press. In addition the lab provides provision for easy Internet access with which the students are also motivated to learn one more foreign language, other than English As per their choice, using web resources.

Internet Facility

1 Mbit/s radio frequency internet facility is provided.

CIET has signed MoU with leading industries in Coimbatore for industries interaction placement, providing mutual training, consultancy and Project guidance
