Qjoypad

Qjoypad

Qjoypad is an application for Linux written using the Qt toolkit. It is a gamepad translator; it takes input from a gamepad (or similar device that uses the joystick interface in the Linux kernel) and translates it to key strokes or mouse actions. [ [http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net QJoyPad ] ]

Since it depends upon the X extension library to create the key strokes, it can only function in an X environment. The same goes with the joystick interface.

There is another program, [http://rejoystick.sourceforge.net rejoystick] , that uses the cross platform comptatible library SDL to read input from the gamepad. [ [http://rejoystick.sourceforge.net Rejoystick - Free your joystick! ] ]
