The garden once stood by the bridge carried most of the traffic to Warwick over the River Avon but the bridge now lies in ruins. Also when the castle was being constructed the garden was often used as a stonemasons yard. It is not uncommon to see swans nesting near the garden.cite news |title= Warwick Parks and Gardens |url=http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/Web/Corporate/pages.nsf/Links/B4315E78A941E3318025703500334CBD/$file/Warwick+Parks+and+Gardens++Leaflet+2007.pdf |publisher= "Warwickshire Country Council" |date= accessed April 11, 2008|format=PDF ]
