Humphrey Vincent Taylor was the sixth Suffragan Bishop of Selby [ Crockfords On line- accessed Sunday 23rd March 2008, 8:07] . He was born on 5 March 1938 [ [http://www.wikitree.org/index.php?title=Humphrey_Vincent_Taylor Wiki Tree] ] and educated at Harrow and Pembroke College, Cambridge [Who’s Who 2008 (London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 9780713672576] .Ordained in 1963 he began his career with a Curacy in Hammersmith [ Crockford’s (Ibid)] and was then successively Rector of Lilongwe,Malaŵi, a Chaplain at Bishop Grosseteste College in Lincoln, a Church administrator (firstly for the Synod; latterly for the USPG) before ascending to the Episcopate -a post he held from 1991 until 2003 [ [http://www.number10.gov.uk/output/Page4279.asp Official announcement of retirement, 29 July 2003] ] . In retirement he continues to minister, as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Worcester. s-start
