Sir John Pickersgill Rodger, KCMG, CMG was born on 12 February 1851 in Marylebone, London and died on 19 September 1910 in Mayfair, Westminster, London.

Education and career

He was educated at Eton College and Oxford University. He was called to the English Bar in 1877. Sir John was the British resident of Selangor (1884 - 1885) and (1896 - 1902), the first Biritsh Resident of Pahang (1888 - 1896), British Governor of Ghana 3 March 1904 - 1 September 1910.

Honour

Sir John was knighted with CMG in 1899 and KCMG in 1904.
