Next album ="Sweat Band" is the title of the 1980 debut album by the
P-Funk spin off act the Sweat Band. The album was the first official release on theUncle Jam record label, formed by George Clinton and his business manager Archie Ivy, and distributed byCBS Records . The band was formed byP-Funk bassistBootsy Collins after losing the rights to the name Rubber Band to afolk music group of the same name. The album features many of the same musicians and singers fromBootsy's Rubber Band . The album was released during the same week as "Ultra Wave ", Collins' fifth album forWarner Bros. Records .The album was produced by Bootsy Collins, while George Clinton serves as executive producer. The album was reissued by
CBS /Sony in Japan on May 21st,1994, but quickly went out of print soon after.Track listing
