Sidkeong Tulku Namgyal (
1879 -5 December 1914 ) was the rulingMaharaja andChogyal ofSikkim for a brief period in 1914, from10 February to5 December . He was the eldest son and heir of Maharaja Sri Panch SirThutob Namgyal , and was educated atSt. Paul's School, Darjeeling and atPembroke College, Oxford . Apolyglot , he was learned in Chinese, English,Hindi ,Lepcha ,Nepali and Tibetan. Following an attack ofjaundice , Sidkeong Tulku Namgyal died ofheart failure on5 December 1914 , aged 35. He was succeeded by his younger brother,Tashi Namgyal .Titles
