Riverdale High School is a public high school located on Roberts Drive in Riverdale, Georgia. The school serves about 1,800 students in grades 9 to 12 in the Clayton County Public Schools district. The school first opened in 1978 with a few unfinished projects to complete the construction of the school.Timefact|date=October 2008

The school's mascot, which is a pirate, giving the name "Riverdale Raiders" as the name for students, athletes, and the faculty working there. The flag with an "R" being supported by a pirate's sword is the school's logo. The school motto is: "Teamwork makes the dream work. In all you do, do it with Dignity, Character, & Class!".

R&B singer, Ciara Harris, who graduated from Riverdale High School in 2003, revisited to receive a key to the city of Riverdale on October 19, 2006, in honor of her success and the inspiration she sets for other goal-led students.Source needed|date=October 2008

In June 2008, Shawty Lo produced a yearbook picture that showed that T.I. attended the school. Riverdale is about 5 miles from Atlanta, but is apart of the metro area, which would put T.I.'s Bankhead origins into suspicion.Source needed|date=October 2008
