Carla Lynch

Carla Lynch

Carla Jade Lynch (born 19 May 1984, Newcastle upon Tyne) is a British comedienne and model who plays the "Scummy Mummy" in Channel 4's comedy show "Balls of Steel". Carla got her first break in television as a presenter on Channel 4's "Whatever" in 2006. She has also recently featured as a poster girl for Northumbria University's return to learning service.

Lynch works at Northumbria University where she is noted for introducing a new way of inter-departmental networking known as Fika.

Lynch is currently the official in-house judge of 'The Google Game'©, a fast-paced comedy game devised by film critic Emily Maddock where contestants compete to find the funniest photo related to a certain topic in a set time.

The Sun once falsely claimed that Lynch quit her National Diploma. This is wrong; she achieved Distinction, Distinction, Merit. It is rumoured that Lynch would have achieved three Distinctions but she forgot to attend rehearsals in her final year.

In August 2008 it was rumoured in the North East press that Carla will sign a 3-year contract with the BBC to appear in Eastenders as Minty's niece.
