"Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt" is the first studio album by the Christian alternative rock band Breakfast with Amy, released in 1990. Produced by the band at Casbah Studios in Fullerton, CA, "Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt" was the group's first studio release with Narrowpath Records. Breakfast with Amy's first studio release saw the band re-record their early demos, in addition tonew song material that band had written under Narrowpath Records. The music on the album borrows heavily from neo-psychedelic and punk rock influences, and some other band influences cited were Echo and the Bunnymen ["Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt release" | http://breakfastwithamy.tripod.com/everything.html AMG review] .] .

The album originally had a limited release, and went out of print soon after the band's short tour promoting their new release. Later, in 1995, Graydot Records re-mastered and re-released the album with three added bonus tracks which wereearly demos that were cut by the band themselves.

The album title is a reference to Billy Pilgrim's epitaph in Kurt Vonnegut's novel "Slaughterhouse-Five".
