Walther Eidlitz (1892 - 1976), also called "Vāmana dāsa". In pursuance of his interest in Indian
religion andphilosophy he had left his family inGermany in late 1930 and traveled toIndia in search ofGod . His wife loved him enough to honor his spiritual quest, the fruit of which he would share with her years later upon his return. As aJew from Germany he spent time in an internment camp inIndia during theSecond World War .
