- Marujupu Peak
Marujupu Peak (coord|76|31|S|145|37|W|) is a conspicuous
nunatak standing above the main flow ofOchs Glacier , betweenMounts Iphigene and Ferranto in theFord Ranges ,Marie Byrd Land . Discovered and so named byRichard Evelyn Byrd on theByrd Antarctic Expedition flight ofDecember 5 ,1929 . Marujupu combines the letters from the names of three daughters and a son of Mr. and Mrs.Arthur Sulzberger . The daughters are Marian, Ruth and Judy; Punch is the nickname of son Arthur. The Sulzbergers were patrons of the expedition.
