Imshaug Peninsula

Imshaug Peninsula (coord|70|53|S|61|35|W|) is a broad, snow-covered cove at the south side of Lehrke Inlet on the east coast of Palmer Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) in 1974. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Henry A. Imshaug, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) biologist in a long-range biosystematic study of subantarctic floras with research at Islas Juan Fernandez, 1965-66; Falkland Islands, 1967-68; Chilean archipelago, 1969; Campbell Island, 1969-70; and Iles Kerguelen, 1970-71.
