Zelee Subglacial Trench (coord|68|0|S|144|0|E|) is a subglacial
trench onGeorge V Coast , running NNE-SSW and coinciding with thetrough cut byMertz Glacier . The feature was delineated by theScott Polar Research Institute (SPRI)-NSF-TUD airborne radio echo sounding program, 1967-79, and named after thecorvette "Zelee" (Lt.Charles Jacquinot ) of the French expedition, 1837-40 (Capt.Jules Dumont d'Urville ).
