History
The club was formed in 1913 and has held its original name since then. They have won Slovenian republic league for two times, in 1965 and 1983 and participated in Yugoslav second league in 1965/66 and 1983/84. They have also won the Slovenian republic cup in 1983. After 1991 Slovan has played in Slovenian First League for three seasons, scoring 10th, 11th and 15th place. In 1996 they have merged with city rival Slavija and formed club ND Slovan-Slavija, which played in top flight under the sponsor name Set Vevče in 97/98, but was relegated at the end of season. After another relegation and sponsor withrawal, Slovan was refounded and started on their own in 3.SNL in 1999.
