- Barbara Stephens (journalist)
Barbara Stephens was an American journalist killed in Xinjiang province, China in 1947. Stephens was a correspondent for Time Magazine in China covering the Chinese Civil War when in 1947 she traveled to Ili to report on the Soviet backed Second East Turkestan Republic.
