VEF Spidola ( _lv. VEF Spīdola, _ru. ВЭФ Спидола) was the first mass-produced
transistor radio in theSoviet Union . It was manufactured by theVEF factory inRiga ,Latvia since 1962. Small series under the name "Spidola" ("Спидола" ПМП-60 ["ПМП-60" stands for Полупроводниковый Малогабаритный Приёмник выпуска 1960 года, or "Semiconductor Compact Receiver, production year 1960] ) were manufactured since 1960. Among uses of Spidola was listening the "
