July 15 ,1950 inČapljina ,Bosnia and Herzegovina ,SFR Yugoslavia ) is the formerCroat member of thetripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina , elected in the Parliament onMay 9 ,2005 following the sacking ofDragan Čović by the High Representative on charges of corruption. He served untilNovember 6 ,2006 .After he had graduated as a
history teacher from theUniversity ofSarajevo , Jović worked as a teacher inIlijaš andKiseljak . He became active in politics in 1997, as the Croatian Democratic Union had proposed him for the a government position in theCentral Bosnia Canton . In 1999, Jović entered the federal government, as Vice Minister of Culture, where he remained until 2001.Following the general elections of 2002, Jović was elected as a representative for his party in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His most recent foreign appearance was at the
2005 World Summit in New York. OnOctober 1 ,2006 , he was defeated in race for the Croat member of thePresidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina .Jović is fluent in German, married and father of three children.
