A fleeting expletive is a verbal
profanity or visualindecency orobscenity (i.e., a fleeting moment) expressed or shown during a livetelevision broadcast orradio broadcast .Notable examples

*Janet Jackson 'swardrobe malfunction in thehalf-time show ofSuper Bowl XXXVIII (January 2004) is an example of the visual indecency type of fleeting expletive.:* A half-million indecency fine by theFCC was overturned.
