AdventureBox

AdventureBox

AdventureBox is Bayard Presse's second English magazine in the series after StoryBox. AdventureBox is designed to be a childs first foray into independent reading. It is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 9.

The magazines design is simple. One long story divided into short chapters which is designed to increase a childs reading stamina. By the time they are 9 years of age, generally, the children are able to read straight through and enjoy the story. It also has games, a comic strip and activity ideas included as well.

AdventureBox is a good follow on from StoryBox as the level of English rises as the series of the three magazines progresses. The stories in AdventureBox are all fiction and are tailored to the age group of the subscribers ie. Ages 6 to 9.

Like StoryBox, AdventureBox is also subscribed to by ESL students as they advance their level of English. The Box series provides a gradual rise in the level/standard of English and therefore provides students with English as their second language a gradual increase in their knowledge of the language.
