Production Info

The film started shooting in late March 2008.The movie began shooting in Boston [ [http://news.bostonherald.com/track/star_tracks/view.bg?articleid=1078649&srvc=home&position=also A Mall Cop by any other name] , accessed March 18, 2008] . Principal shooting took place at the Burlington Mall in Burlington, MA. From late March until mid-April, the mall and its stores were decorated with Christmas decorations, and there was a large prop ball-pit in the main foyer of the mall. Shooting took place mostly at night. The South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA was the location of subsequent shooting.

The cop is played by Kevin James with Keir O'Donnell as his counterpart. "Ugly Betty" star Jayma Mays plays James' love interest.
