Adelbrecht was a speaking, interactive
robot in the form of aball , designed by Martin Spanjaard (born1952 inHaarlem ,Netherlands ).
A first, simple version of Adelbrecht was presented in1985 .
Starting1988 a second, more powerful version was developed. In1992 it got a honourable mentioning at thePrix Ars Electronica . It's last performance, during newyears eve of2000 , never happened because of a serioushardware failure. Since then Martin Spanjaard proclaimed Adelbrecht a 'dead robot'.References
