Lombe Mwambwa

Lombe Mwambwa (born July 17, 1983 in Mufulira) is a Zambian development practitioner and advocate for gender equity and women's empowerment.

Education

Lombe was educated at Lukanga Primary School in Kabwe, Zambia and St Therese Girls Secondary School in Kasama. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies and Public Administration at the University of Zambia in 2006.

Career

Lombe has worked at the [http://www.kalushafoundation.org Kalusha Foundation] since 2004, and been involved in the establishment of various projects at the organisation.

Her involvement in advocacy for women's empowerment dates back to her membership in a children's peer education programme called " Child to Child" during her Primary School education. She is at present the Advocacy Coordinator at the National Organisation of Women in Sport Physical Activity and Recreation (NOWSPAR) [ [http://www.sportanddev.org/data/document/document/410.pdf 404 Error ] ] .
