Georgia Bonora

Georgia Bonora (born May 19, 1990), is an Australian gymnast who was born in Melbourne. She began gymnastics at the age of 3.

Her best performance at an Australian Championships came in 2006, where she finished 3rd. Later that year, she represented Australia at the World Championships in Aarhus, Denmark, contributing to Australia's 6th place finish, and coming 189th in the all-around qualification.

At the 2007 Australian Championships, struggling with a death in her family, she only managed a 7th place in the individual all-around. She still managed to attend 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, as a reserve.

At the 2008 Australian Championships/Olympic Trial 1, having just recovered from an ankle injury, she managed 5th AA and continued to improve quality and consistency to secure a position on the Olympic team for Beijing '08.

At the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Georgia surprised pundits by finishing highest amongst the Aussie girls, finishing 13th in the all-around individual finals, and assisting the Australian Womens' team in achieving its best ever Olympics result, finishing sixth in the all-around team competition.
