Vishwanath Kashinath Rajwade (1863-1926) was a prominent historian from Maharashtra.

Rajwade is best known for his fearless toils for his cause. He visited a local ruler to request funds for his projects. When the ruler (who, like most rulers those days, had a harem) pleaded inability to grant the money, Rajwade shot back: 'Keep one woman less' (and donate the resultant savings to my worthy cause).

His prodigious output was rearranged in 13 volumes for re-publication.

Historian Datto Vaman Potdar was his student.
