Cornelius Sim (born September 16, 1951) is the current Vicar Apostolic of the Catholic Apostolic Vicaiate of Brunei,[1] and Titular Bishop of Putia in Numidia.[citation needed] Born in Brunei, Sim became the country's second ordained local priest in 1989. (the first was Rev Ivan Fang) In October 2004, he was appointed as the Vicar Apostolic of Brunei, and on January 21, 2005, was consecrated by Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio (thus becoming a bishop).[2] He is of Chinese descent.[3]
