Tom Elmhirst (born
8 June 1971 ) is a specialist music producer and mix engineer from London, UK. He began his career at SARM studios in the early 90s at a time when digital audio was already becoming mainstream. Elmhirst’s experiences at SARM and withTrevor Horn have clearly influenced his current working methods. It shows in his strong preference for working on analogue boards, particularly theNeve VR (introduced in 1988) and combining this with cutting edge technology.
Since his 2008 Grammy success, Tom has been working with a range of artists including the forthcoming tribute toCy Coleman , a cover album of his songs featuringFiona Apple ,Nikka Costa andMadeleine Peyroux .Career Highlights To Date
