At first glance, Trip World is like a scaled-down, miniature version of
Gimmick! , another one of Sunsoft's games. In Trip World, players control a cute rabbit name Yacopu (ヤコプ) through five, large, slightly linear maps to explore and complete. Some have secret passages and divergent paths. While players move Yacopu through each level, Yacopu sometimes automatically shape-shifts himself into special forms, such as a fish, a ball and others. When normal, his only attacking move is kicking. There are some mini-bosses that sometimes appear in the middle of the stages, while there are some large bosses at the end of each stage.Other appearances in media
Yacopu later appeared in "
Galaxy Fight " as a mini-boss. According to Galaxy Fight's plot, he is Rouwe's pet. Similar to some other transforming characters from other one-on-one fighting games likeShang Tsung from the Mortal Kombat series and Geegus fromWorld Heroes for example, Yacopu has the ability to shape-shift himself into whoever he fight's against, providing a mirror match. While in his regular form, he can only be hit by crouching attacks while on the ground. Also, he does his signature kicks he used in Trip World.External links
