Jack Smith (footballer born 1915)

John "Jack" Smith (born 7 February 1915 in Batley, Yorkshire, England; died 21 April 1975)

Smith started his career with Newcastle United before transferring to Manchester United in 1938. Officially, he is recognised as having scored 15 goals for United during his career, but he also scored over 150 goals during the Second World War. These goals are not counted towards the official total as they are classified as "friendlies". He left Manchester United in 1946.
