Hanalani Schools is an independent, private Christian college preparatory school centrally located in the town of
Mililani , on the Island ofOahu ,Hawaii , USA. Hanalani has approximately 750 students spanning pre-K through 12th grade. Hanalani Schools is fully accredited by theAmerican Association of Christian Schools and theWestern Association of Schools and Colleges .Identity
Hanalani's does not have an official on field mascot, but did adopt a 'Strongman' logo in 2003. Their sports teams go by the name of Royals, a name taken from the schools'
protestant christian heritage. The school colors are purple and gold.History
Established in 1952 as King's School by the late Wallace Sugimoto, a small church nursery soon grew into an elementary school on Wilikina Drive in Wahiawā. In 1973, King's School changed its name to Hanalani Schools and was officially incorporated as a non-denominational, non-profit organization by the State of Hawaii. In March 2004 a student activity centre, that cost $4.2 million, was completed. This includes a basketball and volleyball court. Hanalani competes scholastically and athletically in various public and private school leagues on Oahu including the
Interscholastic League of Honolulu .Hanalani Schools took first place at the Iolani Invitational Chess Tournament on
May 18 ,2002 .
