IberoAmerican Federation of Mutual Funds

The IberoAmerican Federation of Mutual Funds was formally founded in 2007, to integrate the mutual funds industry in the region.

The mission of the FIAFIN is to constitute a federation that integrate all the mutual or collective funds gremial associations of Ibero America, with the purpose of promoting the growth, development and consolidation of the mutual fund market as an option for the canalization of the saving, through accessible ways, towards the productive sector of the countries that represent.

Its vision is to be an organization that represents the mutual or collective funds associations of the countries of Ibero America, generating identity and projection in the international context and, through strategic agreements to optimize the regulation and the practice of the industry in the according countries that cause bases for intraregional businesses.

Its objective is to share knowledge and experiences, as well as to support the Ibero America members of mutual or collective funds industry and to promote the growth and healthy development of the sector in the world-wide context in order to become the main vehicle for the saving of the region countries.

The thirteen countries that integrates this federation are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Venezuela.

The FIAFIN organizes annual meetings attending by the representatives of all the countries that integrate it, as well as the institutions they represent, and the authorities that regulate them.

Its organizational structure is shaped by a Presidency, a Secretariat and a Board, who are appointed according to the provisions of the Bylaws of the Federation.

In addition, Committees have been formed to analyze the different subjects of interest to the industry, these committees are: Development Committee, Finance Committee, Normativity Committee and Information and Communication Committee.
