Athelstane Public School is a public primary school in the suburb of Arncliffe in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

History

Athelstane Public School was officially opened in 1952. [ http://www.athelstane-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/schoolhistory.html Athelstane History] Since 1930, the Wilson Road Public School had operated in the grounds of the Salvation Army Home on the corner of Wollongong Road and Wilson Road. In 1949, the Department of Education purchased the 'Athelstane' estate on Wollongong Road, between Dowling Street and Athelstane Avenue. The school operated from both sites from the following year.

Achievements
