Lauren Pritchard

Lauren Pritchard (born December 27, 1987 in Jackson, Tennessee) is an American actress and singer who is best known for her role of Ilse in the Broadway musical "Spring Awakening". She has dated Skylar Astin, another cast member of "Spring Awakening" and is currently recording her solo album, to be released in the fall of 2008. Biography

Lauren Nicole Pritchard was born on December 27, 1987. She was raised in Jackson, Tennessee. She has two brothers, one in the army, the other a ballet dancer. [http://www.broadway.com/gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?ci=551203/ Lauren Pritchard, Star File: Broadway.com Buzz] ]

Pritchard started acting when she was 7 years old, and sang with the National Children's Choir when she was 13. At the age of 14 she started to write her own music. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother at 16 in an attempt to land a recording contract, but to no avail. After a year of nothing, she acquired a new agent and landed an audition for "Spring Awakening" and was cast as Ilse in the Off-Broadway cast. She moved with the show as it transferred to Broadway.

Pritchard left "Spring Awakening" on February 17, 2008 to record a forthcoming album for Sony/BMG Records which is due out Fall 2008. [http://www.playbill.com/news/article/114534.html/ Lauren Pritchard to Exit Spring Awakening in February] ]
