Kalaizis produces his paintings on the basis of
photograph s often taken in his immediate surroundings, after which he inserts human figures. The often seemingly surreal scenes are a product ofidea s developed in a type of script written by himself. The people who appear in Kalaizis's paintings areamateur performers who have been casted prior to conception of the script, some of whom appear in several paintings and, therefore, infer a predominant story.Notes
