See Beauty Beyond Breed

The “See Beauty Beyond Breed” is a campaign of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) dedicated to all the native cats and dogs, and their rescuers from cruelty. The campaign tries to encourage people to consider adopting native dogs and cats from PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center. [http://www.paws.org.ph PAWS ] ] The campaign sports the motto "Native Dogs can be just cute, intelligent and loving as their breeded counterparts.

The campaign was co-sponsored by Penshoppe. The Filipino Celebrities, Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales, served as spokespeople of PAWS for this campaign. Posters featuring Heart and Echo with PAWS' shelter dogs Brian and Chris was posted in 111 Penshoppe store windows nationwide on September 10, 2007. Aside from the posters, PAWS also had donation cans and a video of the photo shoot in the Penshoppe stores. [http://www.paws.org.ph PAWS ] ]

The See Beauty Beyond Breed campaign also aims also to uplift the image of native dogs, popularize the term “Aspins” for “Asong Pinoy” instead of “Askal” or “Asong Kalye.”
