Chittumala Theerthatanam

Chittumala Theerthatanam is a pedestrian march held during Onam season in order to promote communal harmony. The event stared in 1968. It starts from Karootharakkadavu in Munroethuruth in Kollam district and the march proceeds to Chittumala another place of Kollam district.

The event was started by a handful of young persons including K O Johnson, N Raman, K Sudhakaran, P Sujathan, K Radhakrishnan etc. Later it grew to an important event with a large number of participants.
