Sokutai

Sokutai

The is an elegant and complex dress that was only worn by courtiers, aristocrats and the emperor at the court in Japan.

Although the "sokutai" is not used anymore, the imperial court still uses it for rare occasions such as weddings and enthronement ceremonies.
