Harry Robb

Harry Robb

Harry Duplein Robb (May 11, 1897 - ??) was an American football player and coach during the early 20th century in the pioneering days of football in America.

Robb was born in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania and attended Peabody High School in Pittsburg. He attended college at both Pennsylvania State University and Columbia University. Playing the positions of halfback, fullback and quarterback, Robb was a standout in football, and made his professional debut in the American Professional Football League in 1921, with the Canton Bulldogs, playing alongside football legend Jim Thorpe. His playing career with Canton spanned only four years, after which he began coaching. He coached the Canton Bulldogs for two seasons beginning in 1925. He then returned to the field as a player, signing with the Pottsville Maroons, playing alongside football greats Johnny "Blood" McNally and Pete Henry, where he remained until the team folded in 1928. His whereabouts afterward is only speculation, but it is believed that he took up coaching outside of professional football.
