Harry Duplein Robb (
May 11 ,1897 - ??) was anAmerican football player and coach during the early 20th century in the pioneering days of football in America.Robb was born in
Pitcairn, Pennsylvania and attendedPeabody High School in Pittsburg. He attendedcollege at bothPennsylvania State University andColumbia University . Playing the positions of halfback, fullback andquarterback , Robb was a standout in football, and made his professional debut in the American Professional Football League in 1921, with theCanton Bulldogs , playing alongside football legendJim Thorpe . His playing career with Canton spanned only four years, after which he began coaching. He coached the Canton Bulldogs for two seasons beginning in 1925. He then returned to the field as a player, signing with thePottsville Maroons , playing alongside football greats Johnny "Blood" McNally andPete Henry , where he remained until the team folded in 1928. His whereabouts afterward is only speculation, but it is believed that he took up coaching outside of professional football.References
